GOD WILL GIVE YOU THE DESIRES OF YOUR HEART

(15, 22 July 2007)

Psalms 37:3-5 Delight yourself in the Lord, and He shall give you the desires of your heart. What do you desire?
Proverbs 3:1-7 If we obey God and live right, good things will always come on us.
Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding. Our minds want to show us the difficulty and the impossibilities, but our hearts have to be fixed on God's promises.
John 15:7 If you abide/remain in the Lord and his words remain in you, you shall ask what you will, and it shall be done unto you.
Mark 10:46-52 Bartimaeus had needs just like us. He was blind and he was a beggar. When he heard that Jesus was passing, he started to cry for help. Other people tried to stop him but he shouted even more. When Jesus called for him, he threw away his garment (certificate of begging as a blind person) because he knew that Jesus will heal him. Jesus asked him, "What do you want me to do for you." Bartimeus might have asked for alms or healing of his throat but he asked to see. What need do you want Jesus to meet? God wants to supply all your need according to his riches in glory by Christ Jesus.
Jesus told Bartimeus that his faith has made him whole. Is your faith working for you?

2Chronicles 16:9 The eyes of the Lord are moving to and fro through the whole earth, he wants to show himself strong on behalf of those whose heart is perfect toward him.

1Chronicles 4:9-10 Jabez had specific requests to God. He did not limit himself to his mother's confession (sorrow maker/pain). His request was: "Bless me" "Enlarge my boarder." "Let your hand be with me" "Keep me from evil". God granted him his request.
2Kings 7:3-4 "Why do we sit here till we die?" What are you doing about your situation? How committed are you to pursue God's will for your life.

Mark 4:24 (Ampl.) The measure of thought and study you give to the truth that you hear will be the measure of virtue and knowledge that will be measured back to you.
2Kings 7:1-2,17-20 The captain of the king, spoke doubt against the word of God, and he was told that he will only see it with his eyes but he shall not eat it. Are you also just seeing the blessings in the lives of other people or are you walking in the blessings of the Lord?
Proverbs 18:20-21 Death and life are in the power of the tongue. You shall be filled with the fruit of your mouth.
2Corinthians 4:13
The spirit of faith speaks what it believes.
