Matthew 26:36-45 Wake up and pray.
James 5:16-18 The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much. Your prayer is powerful. Be encouraged to pray knowing that your prayer brings results and effects change. But that prayer should be earnest and heartfelt. Do not just pray for the sake of praying.
1Thessalonians 5:17 Pray without ceasing.
Luke 18:1-6 Pray always and never give up.
1 Samuel 1:9-17 Hannah prayed from her heart and poured out her soul before the Lord. She was specific in what she needed from the Lord (a man child). She did not pray and forgot what she prayed for. Some people promise God in prayer but they do not fulfil their vows.
Mark 11:20-26 The effective prayer should be based on faith. Believe you receive when you pray. Again when you pray make sure that you have forgiven those who wronged you.
John 16:23-26 Ask the Father in the name of Jesus.
1 John 5:14-15 We should have confidence that when we pray God hears us.
Isaiah 40:30-31 Your strength will be renewed as you wait upon the Lord in prayer and spending time in the Word.
Psalms 46:10 Be still and know that I am God. Don't be in a hurry. Sometimes you need to be silent and hear from God.
Romans 4:16-24 Be fully convinced that whatever God has promised, He is also able to perform.
Matthew 7:7-11 God is a good father, He gives good gifts to those who ask Him
