(Renewal of marriage vows of Mr & Mrs N 31-10-2010) God is the one who instituted marriage.
Genesis 2:18-24 God is the one who said, "It is not good for a man to be alone, I will make a companion he needs". Even though there were many animals and birds, a suitable companion for the man could not be found. God made a woman specifically for the man. That's why a man will leave his father and mother and be joined to his wife. A marriage is for the two people only.
Matthew 19:5-6 God is the one who joins the two in marriage when they are blessed. No one should separate what God has joined together.
John 2:1-10 Jesus was invited to the marriage/wedding of Cana in Galilee. When they ran short of wine, the mother of Jesus told the servants to do whatever Jesus tells them. Some marriages are breaking because they do not listen to Jesus. When you have problems in your marriage, do you listen to Jesus? Psalms 1:1-2 Do you get counsel from God in your marriage?
If you have invited Jesus to your marriage, whenever you run short of wine he will always give you a fresh wine (John 2:10).
Every day with Jesus is sweeter than the day before.
2Corinthians 4:16 Though the outward man is getting older and weaker, the inward man is renewed day by day.
