FRIENDSHIP WITH THE LORD

(10-10-10) John 15:12-15 We can develop friendship with the Lord. We can grow in fellowshipping with him. (A relationship cannot be improved upon; but friendship can be nurtured through fellowship).

Psalms 63:1-6 My soul thirsts for the Lord. In my bed I think about the Lord. Even at night, I think of the Lord. He is my lover.

Song of Songs 3:1-4 We should seek to be with the Lord just as the bride seeks her lover. Unfortunately, most Christians are busy with their own programs – they do not have time with the Lord.

1Corinthians 16:15 The house of Stephanas had addicted themselves to the ministry of the saints. "We always think of the Lord's work in whatever we do – sometimes we do not even have time for ourselves". A person who is addicted to drugs, rarely has time for other things but drugs.

Isaiah 38:1-6 When Hezekiah was told that he was about to die, he pleaded his case before God and God added 15 more years to his life. God is prepared to have discussions with you. Plead your case. My faith my seem extreme at times. Other people may think that I am not realistic. I always plead with the Lord to vindicate our belief in him. I tell people that I will not die young (before I fulfil my assignment). Some think that this is extreme. But I want the Lord to vindicate my faith by satisfying me with long life. Ephesians 6:2-3, Psalms 91:16, 2Timothy 4:6-7

Genesis 18:17 The Lord could not hide his plans about Sodom and Gomorrah to Abraham, His friend.

Amos 3:7 The sovereign Lord will not do anything without first revealing his plans to his servants.

Mark 4:24 (Ampl.) The measure of thought and study you give to the truth that you hear will be the measure of virtue and knowledge that will be measured back to you.

Joshua 1:3,5 Every place that the sole of your foot shall tread upon, that have I given you. Spend time treading on the promises of God in His Word.

No man shall be able to stand before you all the days of your life.
