Proverbs 3:5 Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not unto your own understanding.
Matthew 14:24-32 Peter took a step of faith by trusting in Jesus – walking on the water (in the midst of the sea). He did not lean on his understanding that the water is liquid and he can sink deep in the sea. But when he started looking at the wind he began to sink. What does walking on the water have to do with the wind? When they reached the ship, the wind ceased. It is as if the wind was there just to test Peter's faith.
2Corinthians 5:7 We walk by faith not by sight. We trust in the Lord without depending on senses. Take a step of faith before you see.
"Trust" – A patient undergoing surgery trusts the anaesthetist and put his life on the hands of that anaesthetist.
Psalms 125:1 Those who trust in the Lord are like mount Zion which cannot be moved.
Psalms 112:6-8 Those who trust in the Lord will not be moved forever. His heart is fixed, trusting in the Lord. His heart is established.
Romans 10:11 Anyone who trusts in the Lord will never be put to shame.
Psalms 118:8 It is better to trust in the Lord than to put confidence in man.
Psalms 20:7 Some trust in chariots and some in horses, but we will remember the name of the Lord our God.
Romans 4:17-24 Abraham believed and trusted God in hopeless situation. We also should be fully persuaded that what God has promised, he is able also to perform.
2 Chronicles 14:9-12 Asa trusted God and he defeated a million Ethiopians.
2 Chronicles 16:1-13 Asa trusted in people and the Lord was displeased. Even when he was sick, he trusted in physicians and he did not seek God.
