James 1:19 Let every man be quick to hear and slow to speak. The fact that we have two ears and one mouth should alert us to listen twice as much as we speak.
Proverbs 18:13 If you answer before hearing the facts, it is foolishness. Listen well before you answer.
Ephesians 4:29, Colossians 4:6 Speak words that build others. Speak words that minister grace to the hearers. Speak words that encourage.
James 3:9-10 Don't use your tongue to curse others, use it to bless the Lord.
Ephesians 4:15 Speak the truth in love.
Psalms 141:3 Lord, keep watch over my mouth; keep my lips sealed.
Listening is a skill.
