1 Thessalonians 5:23 Man is a spirit, he has soul and he lives in a

body. If a person dies, we say he/she is gone even if his body is still there because a person is not the body but the spirit.

John 3:3-6 Born again – first birth is the natural birth of the flesh
Second birth is being born of the Spirit (spiritual birth)
Romans 12:1-2 Present your body as a living sacrifice – bring your body under the control of your spirit. (1 Corinthians 9:27)
Renew your mind by the Word of God.
Galatians 5:16-17 Walk in the spirit and you shall not fulfil the lust of the flesh. The flesh lusts against the spirit and the spirit against the flesh.

Matthew 4:4 Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceeds from the mouth of God.
1Peter 2:2 Your spirit feeds and grows by the Word of God.
Job 23:12 Esteem and treasure the Word more than your necessary food.
Proverbs 4:23,20-22 Guard and protect your heart. Fill your heart with the Word of God.
Joshua 1:8 Keep speaking the Word of God. The Word of God gets into your heart through your ears, through your eyes and also as you speak it through your mouth.
