THE LORD IS MY SHEPHERD, I SHALL NOT WANT

(27-08-2006, 03-09-2006)

Psalms 23:1-6 The Lord is my shepherd, I shall not lack.
Different needs: Leading/guidance; restoration/refreshing; protection; comfort; food; anointing; dwelling in the house of the Lord.
Philippians 4:19 My God shall supply all your need according to his riches in glory by Christ Jesus. He is not limited to meeting our needs according to our salary/job.
Ecclesiastes 11:1-5 (Living translation) verse 5 God's ways are mysterious as how the bones in a baby are formed in the mother's womb. So you don't have to prescribe for God how he should meet your needs.
1Kings 17:1-16 God used ravens to feed Elijah. God commanded the widow woman to feed him. Elijah had to be at the place where the Lord wanted him to be. Don't miss the Lord's blessing by being at the wrong place. The widow woman had to give the little that she had so that she could experience God's provision in meeting her needs. If you say that what you have is too little to give, you will eat it and die. So rather give and trust the Lord to multiply your seed.
God also provided for Peter's tax using the money brought by the fish.

Deuteronomy 28:1-14, Deuteronomy 8:6-18 The Lord yearns to bless His people – but we must obey Him to position ourselves for the blessings. 1Timothy 6:10 The love of money is the root of all evil. Let's not serve money but let's serve God even with our monies.
2Corinthians 9:6-12 God will multiply your seed sown. He gives you bread for food and seed to sow. Don't eat the seed.
Galatians 6:6-10 Don't be deceived, God is not mocked: for whatsoever a man sows that shall he also reap. Don't be weary in doing good because you will reap if you faint not.
