LIVING BY FAITH

(21-01-2007, 28-01-2007, 26-08-2007)
Romans 1:16-17 Habbakuk 2:4 Galatians 3:11 Hebrews 10:38 The just shall live by faith. You were saved by faith, you must live by faith. For a Christian, faith should not be an option but a way of life.
Hebrews 11:1 What is faith? (Amplified = title deed)
Faith is the substance (reality) of things hoped for. It is the evidence of things not seen. It is like a bank statement which proves how much you have in the bank even if you do not see the money, you believe the statement.
Hebrews 11:6 It is impossible to please God without faith, he who comes to God must believe that He is, and that He is the rewarder of those who diligently seek him. Without faith, you doubt if what God said is true. This cannot please God.

Romans 10:17 Faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the word of God. Faith is the living word of God in your heart.
2Corinthians 5:7 We walk by faith and not by sight.
2Corinthians 4:18 We look at the things which are not seen.
Romans 4:16-21 Example of Abraham's faith. God call things that be not as though they were. I have made you a father of many nations – Abraham believed so that he might become the father of many nations according to what was spoken. Being not weak in faith, he considered not his own body now dead, neither yet the deadness of Sarah's womb (he did not walk by sight). He was fully persuaded that what God had promised, he was also able to perform. To the natural it may not be, but in the spiritual it is already there. Conceive it in your heart, speak it and then it will be manifested. I believe that God saw light in his heart before there was light in the natural. Then he spoke it according as it was conceived in his heart. Abraham believed according to what was spoken (not according to the condition of his body and Sara's womb.)
Hebrews 10:35-36 Do not cast away your confidence because it has great recompense of reward.
You need patience to support your faith. Never give up.
2Corinthians 4:13 Speak what you believe
The spirit of faith speaks what it believes.
Mark 11:12-14,20-24 Speak your faith and see the results.

A challenge – what have you been speaking? Remember Jesus cursed the fig tree and it withered away. The words you speak can bless or curse.
Jesus never spoke the problem, he spoke what he wanted to see happen. Jesus did not discuss the fig tree with his disciples, he spoke to it and his disciples heard it. In verse 23 the word say appears 3 to 4 times but the word believe only appears once. Most Christians do not have problem with believing, but with saying.
You will have what you say whether good or bad. "I told my people that they will have what they say but they say what they have."
Proverbs 6:2 You are snared with the words of your mouth. Negative words will keep you in bondage.
2Kings 7:1-2,17-20 The captain of the king, spoke doubt against the word of God, and he was told that he will only see it with his eyes but he shall not eat it. Are you also just seeing the blessings in the lives of other people or are you walking in the blessings of the Lord?
Proverbs 18:20-21 Death and life are in the power of the tongue. You shall be filled with the fruit of your mouth.
SPEAK YOUR FAITH
