1Corinthians 16:15 The house of Stephanas had addicted themselves to the ministry of the saints.

Are you also addicted to the things of God? Do you serve God out of preference or by conviction? Do you go to church because you have nothing to do at that time?

Philippians 2:12-14 Work out your salvation with fear and trembling. Do all things without grumbling and complaining.

2Timothy 2:3-5 Endure hardness as a good soldier of Jesus Christ.

Aim to please the one who enlisted you as a soldier.

Deuteronomy 6:5 Love the Lord your God with all your heart, and with all your soul, and with all your might.

Do you love the Lord with everything of you? Man is a spirit (heart), he possesses a soul and he dwell in a body (might).

Do you love the Lord with all you are and all you have?

Are you sold out to God?

Are you serious about your Christianity?

*WHERE SHOULD THE CHURCH GET THE MONEY?

*MONEY FOR WHAT?

1. Taking care of the poor, orphans and widows.

3. Operating costs e.g electricity, rent, equipments

*TITHE

1. WHAT IS TITHE?

The first 10% of your income is the Lord's. Leviticus 27:30-31 Proverbs 3:9 Malachi 3:8-9 Deuteronomy 26:1-2
The government takes its tax from you but God encourages you to voluntarily give him his tithe Matthew 22:15-21 Render to Caesar what belongs to Caesar and to God what is His.

2. WHY SHOULD WE TITHE?

Malachi 3:8-12

• We must not rob God or else we will be under a curse
• That there may be food in God's house
• The Lord will open windows of heaven and shower us with blessings
• The Lord will rebuke the devourer for our sake

3. IS TITHING ALSO A NEW TESTAMENT PRINCIPLE?

Matthew 23:23 Hebrews 7:4-10 If you need the blessings of a tither, then you should tithe It is not compulsory to tithe, neither is it compulsory to be blessed.

4. WHERE SHOULD I BRING MY TITHE TO?

To my local church Jesus is our high priest who receives our tithe Deuteronomy 26:2,3,12-16 Hebrews 7:4-10
